Decision to place electrician on temporary lay-off following refusal to be covid tested upheld
While the decision to place the employee on temporary lay-off was upheld, the WRC held that the electrician's claim was well founded in part. This arose from the employer's failure to provide the employee with notice of the lay-off until his fourth day off work and he was awarded minor compensation for unpaid wages.
