Case Study

For many hospitality businesses, linen is an indispensable part of their offering, and they cannot fully deliver on the experiences they offer without quality linen. Celtic Linen, headquartered in Wexford, has grown from a small family business to an enterprise of significant scale, one with an estimated turnover of €35 million in 2023.

Modern day linen provision is a complex operation and the business has adopted a growth strategy that promotes significant investment in machinery, site systems, equipment and processes and in its people.

In this case study, we explore the importance of the company to the local and regional economy, employing over 300 at the Wexford site alone. We examine their both challenges and opportunities and how they provide skills and career opportunities with their ‘earn, learn, grow’ philosophy.
