Retail Ireland Monitor December 2024

We’re finishing the year in a better position than where it began, but progress has been slow. Consumer sentiment improved over the past 12 months, supported by a rapid fall in inflation, but retail spending growth was modest. This will likely translate into an increase of around 1% this month on last year, although the €2 billion of additional supports from Budget 2025 landing in November and December may nudge this higher.
