Bullying and Harassment Overview
The Employment Equality Acts 1998 to 2011 outlaw harassment of persons across any of the nine equality grounds, while the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 requires employers to ensure the safety, health and welfare of employees, which includes having a strategy to prevent bullying. Three codes of practice support the implementation of these requirements.
