Labour Court finds Service engineer's mandatory retirement at 65 justifiable
A recent Labour Court decision has thrown some much needed light on the topic of mandatory retirement ages in relation to physically demanding roles. In the case of Pat O'Donnell & Company v Denis O'Keeffe, the Labour Court found that the service engineer's compulsory retirement was reasonably justified and not age discrimination.
