R&D Tax Credit Consultation

The Department of Finance has launched a major consultation on the R&D Tax Credit — and is also exploring the introduction of new innovation supports to help a wider range of businesses / activities.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of R&D and innovation policy in Ireland and the SFA is preparing a formal submission which will focus on the issue of burdensome administration of application process for small businesses. The SFA would welcome any feedback from members about the consultation. However, if companies want to make a separate submission is also greatly welcomed.

The preferred means of response to the Department of Finance is by email to: businesstaxpolicy@finance.gov.ie. Please include R&D Public Consultation in the subject box. Submissions received will be acknowledged within one working day. If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt, please contact the Department to ensure your submission has been received.
