In December 2021, the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), published for the first time, a report on adjudication decisions and recommendations (full report available here). The report comprised a review of case outcomes in 2020. The WRC report that they received 8,103 cases in the year encompassing 18,959 specific complaints. The necessary public health restrictions introduced to counteract COVID-19 in March 2020 impacted heavily on adjudication hearings for the remainder of  2020. Therefore, the report focuses on the 1,401 cases encompassing 3,059 specific complaints that were the subject of published decisions in the year 2020.
