Community organisation worker disadvantaged because of pregnancy, wins award
A Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) Adjudication Officer ruled recently that failure by the employer to carry out a pregnancy risk assessment was enough to establish a prima facie case of discrimination on the grounds of gender in relation to this condition of employment under the Employment Equality Act 1998.
