Dismissal award for carpet weaver reduced by Labour Court for his failure to prove mitigation
The Unfair Dismissals Act 1977- 2015 places a proactive duty on employees to make genuine efforts to secure alternative employment after being dismissed. They must be able to mitigate their financial loss and be able to prove mitigation.
