Working Groups
Childhood Service Ireland’s working groups provide a forum for engagement on a host of issues that impact the early years sector. Our working groups also help to inform and frame our policy agenda and advocacy activities.
Joint Labour Committee Group
Our Joint Labour Committee working group is engaged to ensure the interests of childcare providers are protected in any potential negotiations regarding staff Terms and Conditions within the sector.
Workforce Development Group
Our Workforce Development Group examines the ongoing professionalisation of the sector and addresses policies regarding regulation of the profession and career frameworks.
Funding Model Group
Our Funding Model Group is engaged to create policies that ensure childcare providers’ interests are protected in the design of the new funding model.
Pobal/Hive Group
Our Pobal/Hive Group is a specialised working group that addresses related to the administration of childcare such as the funding schemes and the technical infrastructure.
Communications Group
Our Communications Group examines our external media strategy and internal members communications.
Training/Skillnet Group
Our Training/Skillnet Group is engaged to assist in the design of sector specific training programmes through Childhood Services Ireland’s partnership with Skillnet Ireland.
Emergency Response Group
Our Emergency Response Group meet on an ad hoc basis whenever an emergency situation arises that requires an immediate response such as unexpected Governmental announcements.
