Briefing on Ibec's Recent EU & US Engagements
On March 21st, we hosted a webinar to provide an overview of our most recent international engagements.
As you may know, Ibec had been actively engaged in an extensive international programme, starting with the UK-Ireland Summit in Liverpool on March 6th. This was followed by engagements in New York and Washington, D.C., where we met with US business leaders, business representative groups, and senior government officials.
That week, we hosted our annual St. Patrick’s Day event at the European Parliament, which was hosted by Seán Kelly MEP. Our guest of honour was Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament. Michael McGrath, Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law, and Consumer Protection, along with several MEPs, were also in attendance. Ahead of the event, we held a series of meetings at the European Commission and Parliament to discuss key policy and trade developments.
