When Duty Calls – what are an employers’ obligations in relation employees who are members of the Reserve Defence Forces?
An army reservist in the Republic of Ireland is a part-time member of the Reserve Defence Force (RDF), which includes the Army Reserve, Naval Service Reserve, and First Line Reserve. Reservists give their spare time to support the Republic of Ireland’s defence and can assist the Permanent Defence Force (PDF) during crises or in ceremonial roles.
