Working time legislation
Working time is governed by the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997. This Act and subsequent Regulations govern the working hours of employees aged 18 years and over. This section deals with all aspects of working time, break periods and minimum rest requirements in the workplace. It also details the records that employers need to retain to ensure best practice and compliance. This Act also deals with annual leave and public holiday entitlements, which are addressed in annual leave.
Driving time Regulations for mobile workers and working time Regulations for mobile workers are also outlined.
