Drinks Ireland | Spirits was established in 1997 to promote the interests of the Irish spirits industry in Ireland and internationally.

Drinks Ireland | Spirits is an effective and strong voice for the sector at the national, European and international levels on issues such as taxation, labelling, trade and the ongoing international protection of Ireland’s various Geographic Indicators (GIs) and in particular the Irish cream liqueur and Poitín GIs.

The association facilitates a number of working groups which represent key category sectors, including:

• Irish Cream GI working group
• Poitín Collective
• Irish Gin working group
• Imported Spirits and other products working group
