An Dúlamán Maritime Gin
Product
An Dúlamán Maritime Gin captures the "magic of the sea" or "draíocht na farraige", which makes it as unique as the Donegal coast itself.
The unmistakably savoury palate has soft, bright juniper to the fore and as it subsides An Dúlamán’s complexity is revealed in rich umami, brisk salt and then a buttery oyster smoothness with hints of chestnut and firm tannin. Given time, sweet notes of turkish delight ebb to a comforting warmth.
Sliabh Liag also produces An Dúlamán ‘Santa Ana’ Armada Strength Irish Gin, its take on the traditional navy strength gin. Aged in Rioja wine casks and inspired by the Donegal’s historic links to the Spanish Armada, this gin takes on a beautiful rose gold hue and a slight sweetness which complements the rich umami notes of An Dúlamán Irish Gin.

Process
An Dúlamán Maritime Irish Gin contains six conventional botanicals and five seaweeds, including pepper dulse which is known as the truffle of the sea. Adding to the mystery of the gin Sliabh Liag only harvests this pepper dulse seaweed at the low tide of a full moon.
You can trace the story of your bottle through their traceability commitment.
At the heart of the distillery’s core is a 500-litre hand-beaten copper still called Méabh. All botanicals go into our still except Carrrageen Moss which is favour infused.
Provenance
Located at the Sliabh Liag peninsula in Carrick, Co. Donegal. The distillery is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way and in the world.
It was a conversation while picking Dulse at Muckross Head that lead to the idea of capturing the dry tang of a sea breeze over our wild coastline in our gin.
An Dúlamán Irish Gin contains six traditional and five seaweeds including Sweet Kombu, Dulse, Pepper Dulse, our gin’s namesake seaweed: Dúlamán and superfood Carrageen Moss, bringing an authentic and innovative “umami” twist to the gin category.
