BioPharmaChem Ireland launch inaugural Impact Awards 2025 to recognise success and potential of the sector
BioPharmaChem Ireland (BPCI), the Ibec group that represents the biopharmaceutical and chemical sectors, today announced the launch of its inaugural Impact Awards 2025, which will be held as part of the BioPharmaChem Impact 2025 conference on 8 May at Kilashee House Hotel, Co. Kildare. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Realising the Potential of the Ecosystem’.
Sinead Keogh, Director of BioPharmaChem Ireland said: “The biopharmaceutical and chemical industries have had a huge impact on Ireland’s economic success in recent years. Almost 50,000 people are now employed directly in the sector in Ireland, including 25% of all PhDs in Ireland, across over 90 sites, producing over €100bn in exports annually. This rises to over 80,000 when indirect employment is factored in. “This year’s Impact conference is about exploring the incredible potential of the biopharmachem ecosystem and celebrating the people and organisations making this sector such a success. The inaugural Impact Awards 2025 will shine a spotlight on their achievements as well as provide a platform for leaders to share best practice at a time of increasing global competition for investment in the sector.”
