Property Industry Ireland annual conference explores Ireland's property needs for today, tomorrow and beyond
Property Industry Ireland (PII), the Ibec group that represents the industry, has said that to deliver Ireland’s property needs for the future, solutions are needed to respond to demographic change, economic and sustainability challenges.
The call comes as PII hosted leaders in the Irish property and construction industry and public policy stakeholders to address the main concerns facing housing, commercial, industrial and retail real estate in Ireland.
Opening the Property Industry Ireland conference 2023 taking place today at the Morrison Hotel, Ivan Gaine, Chair of PII said: “Last year, we were really facing the fear of the unknown, but today we have much more clarity. The market in particular has seen a large number of policy announcements and systemic change. There is huge work to do on the detail of the initiatives announced over recent months to ensure they are impactful and a real need for policy cohesion and coordination.
“As an industry we have a duty to society and all stakeholders to deliver within the framework of these policy changes. We should be looking at long term mixed tenure solutions across the tax, supply and demand and planning perspectives and continue to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.”
