Irish Pride has its bakery in Taghmon, Co.Wexford and records show that the first bakery there was set up in 1878. The bakery began as a collaboration of family bakers in 1989 who came together in the spirit of collaboration, and has grown from strength to strength since then. These days, Irish Pride is one of the largest bakeries in Ireland, a firm favourite with Irish families and ranked as the 17th largest grocery brand in the retail market in Ireland. Not bad!

Each day Irish Pride’s skilled bakers and quality teams work together to ensure that they bake the freshest breads possible including the Big Toast and Sandwich Pan which are familiar sights on the shop shelves and in the bread bins in homes across the country! They run one of the largest fresh distribution networks every day in Ireland with 23 depots located across the country and a dedicated team of 170 van sales distributors who make over 2,000 deliveries every day to shops including all multiple and symbol outlets as well as local independent stores.

Irish pride takes its Corporate Social Responsibility very seriously, and since 2017, Irish has provided their bakery products to support Barretstown residential camps, helping to feed hungry campers, families, camp team and volunteers. At Irish Pride, we hold community close to our hearts. Pride is exactly what this iconic brand was built on, which is why we have chosen to align with Barretstown and offer our support to their Press Play campaign, aiming to Press Play on childhood for all those living with serious illness.
