Formed in July 2018, Aircraft Leasing Ireland (ALI) is the group representing the aircraft leasing industry in Ireland. It is a constituent part of Financial Services Ireland (Ibec), the only trade association that represents the totality of the financial services sector in Ireland.

Aircraft Leasing Ireland (ALI) is dedicated to the continued development and success of Ireland's aircraft leasing industry. It is composed of C-suite executives from leasing companies with a presence in Ireland. ALI has an independent policy mandate, steered by the ALI Council.

Ireland is the leading centre for aircraft leasing globally and is a high growth sector of international financial services representing $100billion of assets. This is something we are very proud of. As such, the primary aim of ALI is to work collaboratively with the Irish Government and state agencies to ensure Ireland retains this leading position. As we have become more acutely aware of the environmental challenges facing the world including the aviation industry, our prerogative is now to retain this leading position in a sustainable way. In this context, ALI and its members are committed to driving ESG across the aircraft leasing and wider aviation industry. 

The ALI agenda covers matters including Ireland’s network of Double Taxation Treaties, a competitive tax and regulatory environment relative to competing jurisdictions, decarbonisation, and the development of new and existing education and skills initiatives. It is also the primary interface from the industry into government and state agencies which helps improve the efficiency and consistency of communications in both directions.
