Summer intake
There is a summer intake each year for the Mfg Eng apprenticeships in three of the regions, starting in Mid-July with the 6 week INITIAL Industry block and college cycle to follow in Sept in:

Autumn intake
There is an Autumn intake each year for the Manufacturing Engineering apprenticeships in three of the regions, starting in early Nov with the 6 week INITIAL Industry bock and college cycle to follow in January.

The national QQI award for the successful completion of the manufacturing programmes is issued by the coordinating provider’. i.e. The Technological University.
The 2 year level 6 manufacturing apprentice will receive a Higher Certificate of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering (apprenticeship) The 3 year level 7 manufacturing apprentice will receive a Bachelor of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering (apprenticeship) .
The manufacturing apprenticeships is a collaboration between apprentice, employer, government, tuition provider and the Apprenticeship Alliance.
