Dr, Aine O’Dea PhD is one of Ireland’s most renowned Occupational Therapists, and the first OT in the country to have been awarded her doctorate via the prestigious SPHeRE programme (funded by the HRB).
Neuroscience is a cornerstone of occupational therapy, where it is used to design and inform cognitive interventions in practice, and Dr. O’Dea will bring a wealth of clinical experience and academic knowledge to bear on this topic.
Attention is the foundation of both productivity and creativity. While focused attention enhances efficiency, strategic distractions and mind-wandering fuel innovation. Yet, we live in a world of near constant distraction, making it harder and harder to focus, to be present and attentive in the activities and goals we pursue. So often, the same old strategies or things are said in an attempt to help us.
In this webinar, we will explore the neuroscience of attention and sustained focus so that you can tailor strategies to suit your individual cognitive skillset and learning style.
Future national and international speakers include: Dr. Anna Scanlan from the iEd hub in UCC and Dr. Delia McCabe, author of “Feed your Brain”.
