Ibec invites organisations to celebrate companies signing up to the Employment and Youth Engagement Charter, as well as those interested in hearing in how they might engage in the future, to Ibec's Charter signing event on 30 October.
The Charter is a government initiative that encourages employers to engage job seekers who have diverse talents and experiences but face barriers to employment despite having much to offer. Whether it's people with disabilities, individuals with mental health challenges, refugees and migrants, or older workers who have experienced redundancy or unemployment later in life, there are many job seekers who find it difficult to secure interviews, gain work experience or move into employment. For employers, there is a wealth of untapped talent waiting to be unlocked.
We will celebrate the signatories who are providing opportunities that will develop talent and equip job seekers with the skills they need to thrive and thus committing to the long-term success of Ireland's economy. You will hear from leading business representatives who have successfully hired from diverse groups and learn about the transformative impact its had on their businesses. Attendees will also gain expert, practical advice on how to access the government supports available to those signing up.
