Pay Transparency in the EU

August 21, 2024

The Pay Transparency Directive was adopted in June 2023 and will require employers across the EU to either implement for the first-time gender pay gap reporting or where gender pay gap reporting is already in existence, the Directive aims to expand the scope of those requirements. As part of an EU initiative aimed at strengthening the principal of equal pay for equal work between men and women the Directive is due to be transposed into Irish law on or before the 6th of June 2026.
