Lili Forberg's Double Decker Sambo
In partnership with the Irish Bread Bakers Association, digital creator, cookbook author and photographer Lili Forberg has shared her Grandmother’s ‘double decker’ sandwich recipe, which is a delicious white sliced pan sandwich. For Lili, it is reminiscent of her childhood, so she creates her ‘double decker’ sambo for her son and friends, using white sliced pan toasted on just one side! It is always devoured and enjoyed. This sandwich, made with three slices of white sliced pan, highlights how bread can be an excellent way to include complex carbohydrates, protein and vitamins - especially the B vitamins Thiamine and Niacin into your daily diet.
