Stuart Marks, Managing Director at FinTrU talks about FinTrU’s commitments to reducing emissions.
Getting alongside clients, understanding the issues they are facing, their specific pain points, and then working collaboratively to solve those problems.
Over the last couple of years, FinTrU has been embarking on a tech journey, and have built multiple products to help our clients meet their regulatory obligations – it has been great to be a part of that innovation.
Headquartered on the island of Ireland, FinTrU seeks to bring skilled employment to both graduates and experienced professionals, offering them the opportunity to work with the largest investment banks in the world, without having to leave their home country. With a roster of global clients, we are representing Ireland every day in the work we do, and take great pride in demonstrating the talent available here.
The financial services sector brings large scale employment opportunities, and the ability to work with global organisations. The sector is also a systemically important contributor to the economy.
Our business model is solely based on ensuring our solutions make the lives of our clients easier. We provide resources to help alleviate the strain when clients are faced with regulations, and offer technology to create efficiencies. We encourage our people to have an entrepreneurial spirit within our company – that we channel to generate innovative solutions.
Our business thrives on making our clients’ lives easier – it is why FinTrU was founded, why it continues to be successful, and why it will be a success in the future.
The sector is dynamic, always changing, with new challenges arising all the time. I think it is incredibly rewarding to work in an industry that has such a massive impact locally, regionally and globally. The sector is obviously a huge employer on the island of Ireland, allowing Irish people to work with some of the largest institutions on the planet.
FinTrU’s culture is at the forefront of everything we do. We focus on “client intimacy”, ensuring we stay close to our clients, understanding their issues, and helping them resolve the challenges they face. FinTrU is a very enjoyable place to work – everyone is encouraged to “think like an owner”, which really gives our people a sense of belonging and engagement.
Jump in – you will learn so much, be exposed to so many different things. You can carve out a really successful career in the industry, without having to relocate, which is such a unique opportunity.
FinTrU endeavours to create a sustainable, environmentally friendly workplace and to minimise its carbon footprint by reducing its environmental impact. This commitment is demonstrated by examples such as: Tree Planting initiatives, Solar Panel installation, reuse and sustainability initiatives (e.g. Keep Cups and Water Bottles), eco-friendly marketing materials, stationery, umbrellas, clothing and a fleet of FinTrU electric vehicles used for deliveries and employee transportation. FinTrU’s solar panels on their Headquarters in Belfast fully charges their electric vehicle fleet weekly.
