FSI engages with the Central Bank of Ireland and EU Institutions on issues of critical importance to the sector. FSI maintains an active presence in Brussels through the Ibec Europe office and has strong relationships with all of the EU institutions, representatives and other trade associations.
Audrey Crummy is Vice Chair of the Business Europe (BE) Financial Affairs Group. BE is Europe’s largest and most influential business lobby group, headquartered in Brussels.

Aisling Mc Niffe represents FSI members on Ibec’s Brexit Taskforce to voice the needs of our financial services members as well as to provide member updates on Brexit negotiations. She also represents FSI members’ views on Brexit externally, including with Government officials.
Divergence Watch is a new quarterly publication by Ibec Global, which looks at the shifting relationship between the EU and the UK across different business sectors and highlights the key areas businesses should keep a close eye on in coming months. Ireland for Finance is the Irish government strategy for international financial services sector in Ireland until 2025.
Each year a detailed action plan is published in consultation with industry and public sector bodies. FSI works with members to draft a submission that highlights the key priorities of our members for the coming action plan. It also works with the Government, Government agencies and sister trade associations to deliver this strategy.

How to get involved / Working Groups
The Regulatory Affairs and EU Affairs committee is FSI's main working group on regulatory issues. It focuses on high-level, cross-sectoral issues such as the consolidation and modernisation of financial services law, and the development of Better Regulation principles. It addresses issues of critical importance to specific industries wherever needed.
