Barry McCann, CEO and founder, NUA SURGICAL: He is a BioInnovate Ireland Alum, holds a business degree and MSc in Medical Device Innovation from the University of Galway, and has over 20 years commercial experience. In 2018, Barry founded maternal health company NUA Surgical alongside Padraig & Marie-Therese Maher, and the company has gone on to receive global recognition for their patented SteriCISION C-section Retractor. The device aims to improve access and visualisation during Caesarean Delivery thus reducing risk factors that lead to surgical complications.
