Lough Ree Distillery in Lanesborough, Co Longford have come up with a unique option for couples looking to celebrate this Valentine’s weekend under lockdown.
Mike Clancy, at Lough Ree Distillery, home of Sling Shot Distilled Irish Gin, said the team wanted to create a distinctive and fun option for couples to celebrate Valentine’s in the safety of their home, so they have created the Love Edition of their top selling Sling Shot Gin School at Home Kit. This allows couples to experiment with different botanical distillates and create their own special gin.
Speaking from the distillery in Lanesborough, Mike said: “Normally couples would be gearing up for a night out with a romantic meal followed by some drinks, but this year people are looking for alternatives that still create a sense of experience and occasion.
We’d invite couples to get into the spirit and use the specially distilled botanical spirits to create their very own bespoke gin. The distillates for you to work with are Rosebuds, Cacao Nibs, Pink Grapefruit, Pink Peppercorns, Thyme and Mint, so there’s something for to satisfy every taste.”
Also included are 2 miniatures each of Lough Ree’s own multi award-winning Sling Shot and Aiteal Distilled Irish Gins, some hand-made Sling Shot Gin Truffles created by Kilbeggan Chocolates, a pair of crystal tumbler glasses and even a specially curated playlist of songs to set the scene for your perfect night in.
The Kit comes complete with full instructions and everything needed to create enough for 14 G&Ts, all you need to provide is tonic, ice, garnishes and enthusiasm!
This experience costs €80 per couple and can be shipped anywhere in Ireland.
