Our aim is to drive innovation at the business level, build the skills base and maximise the return on R&D investment for economic and social progress. We also work with member organisations to ensure that the appropriate support and structures are in place to promote R&D.

Ibec's Enterprise and Innovation team, led by Fergal O'Brien, campaigns to increase public and private investment in research and innovation. The team also creates links between R&D intensive business with government, funding agencies and researchers with an emphasis on greater industry-education engagement to develop the ideas and skills of the future.
